betekenis & definitie

De Oude Alg. cemetery (Pr 1. Bernhardplein 1) was taken into use in 1828 and expanded in 1895 on the south side. The small auditorium dates from 1954. On the road is a (moved) war memorial (1947, N. A. van der Kreek).

The New Algae built in 1952. cemetery (Naarderstraat 68) has an auditorium dating back to that time in the form of a roundabout with an open colonnade. The Institute for the Blind in Houses 'Elisabeth Kalis' (Amersfoortsestraatweg 180), now 'Visio', is located southwest of Huizen and was built in 1930-'33 when the institute of Amsterdam moved here. It plans to A.D.N. van Gendt in traditionalist forms consists of a main building, a boarding school, workshops, a music building and a few service houses.
