The Westerbegraafplaats (Havenkade approx.) Was donated in 1896 to the residents of Oud-IJmuiden by the landowners A.J. Bik and J.W. Arnold. The Alg. Built around 1960. cemetery 'Duinhof' (Slingerduinlaan 4) has a by W.M. Dudok designed auditorium (1961) with narrow bell tower and large entrance canopy. The whole is situated on a lawn with rectangular pond. In the Heerenduinen lies the private cemetery 'De Kikvorsch' (Slingerduinlaan approx.). Because of the reconstruction and expansion of IJmuiden, this cemetery of the Boreel family was moved to the current location in 1948, including the 19th-century sisters and the stanchions (circa 1900).
