Engels statisticus en geneticus (Londen 17 Febr. 1890), is een der pioniers van de moderne ontwikkeling der mathematische statistiek. Van 1933 tot 1943 was hij professor of Eugenics te Londen, sinds 1943 is hij professor of Genetics te Cambridge.
