Engels dichteres van eenvoudig-frisse lyriek (Boston Lincolnshire 17 Mrt 1820 - Londen 20 Juli 1897). Het meest bekend is haar gedicht High tide on the Coast of Lincolnshire. Zij schreef ook enige uitstekende kinderboeken en romans.
