Amerikaans zielkundige (Colombië, V.S. 12 Jan. 1861-Parijs 8 Nov. 1934), studeerde te Princeton en in Duitsland, was achtereenvolgens hoogleraar te Toronto (1889), te Princeton (1893) en aan de John Hopkins University (1903). Hij is een der voormannen van de experimentele zielkunde en een der oprichters van de Psychological Review.
