(William), Amerikaans toneelschrijver (Elmira, New York 2 Mei 1865 - Châlons-sur-Marne 4 Sept. 1909), eens zeer populair, nu in vergetelheid geraakt; hij geeft societydrama’s vol melodramatische situaties en onwaarschijnlijke dialoog.
