Founded in 1765 is the Isr. cemetery (Bangert ong.), whose gravestones were restored in 1985. The R.K. cemetery (Westerdijk approx.), founded in 1871, has an entrance with neo-Gothic fence pillars designed by A. C. Bleijs. There is a hard stone grave cross for the priest graves of Father W.C. Boers († 1910). The Alg. cemetery (Compagniesingel approx.) has a cast iron fence from that time and a traditionalist auditorium (circa 1950). Interesting is the tomb in the form of a column on postament for J.C. Pillar (circa 1910).
