Effectenbeurs

betekenis & definitie

Effectenbeurs - de beurs, die uitsluitend bestemd is voor den handel in effecten, staatspapieren, aand. en obl. van maatsch. enz. of, zoo daarvoor niet, gelijk in Amsterdam, Londen of New-York een afzonderlijk gebouw bestaat, dat gedeelte van de beurs, dat uitsluitend voor den effectenhandel is aangewezen. Figuurlijk spreekt men ook van de stemming, den toestand, de activiteit, enz. van de effectenbeurs, waarmee dan bedoeld wordt de stemming van de effectenmarkt.
