Sir, Engels AfriKarelziger (Londen 12 Juni 1858 - 31 Juli 1927), ondernam in 1884 een tocht tot het onderzoeken van flora en fauna bij de Kilimandsjaro. In 1889 onderzocht hij het gebied van het Rikwameer.
Als Brits commissaris was hij van 1891-1894 in Centraal-Afrika werkzaam en werd i8gg generaal-consul van het Oeganda-protectoraat.
