In 1915-'17, the municipality of Velsen had the water tower Evertsenstraat 2 built according to plans by D. Drost and W. de Vrind. This square tower with concrete skeleton plastered in 1953 has a cantilevered superstructure with bay windows and a concrete flat bottom reservoir. Near the tower are a single-layer filter building (with concrete skeleton) and a partly plastered pump building from the same time. Entirely in reinforced concrete, Rijkswaterstaat designed the Dokweg 35 water tower in 1914-'15 for the Staatsbisserijbedrijf. The open substructure construction carries a projecting flat bottom reservoir.
