'Oranjekom I' (Oranjekom 60) was commissioned by the Municipal Water Pipe of Amsterdam in 1932 to create the dune lake of the same name to pump the collected water to the pre-filters in the water supply station 'Leiduin' (Heemstede). The cubist expressionist building executed in yellow brick has high narrow steel windows. Along the exterior staircase, drop shapes have been applied in granite. In 1929, the partially white plastered pump building with five-sided extension was built under a roof with overhang to pump the water from the Oude Beek into the Oranjekom.
