(Kerkplein 24) was founded in 1606 on the site of the Geertenklooster (founded 1404), whose church was burned down in 1602. The two-aisled transverse wing at the Wisselstraat (no. 8) arose in 1606-'07 and has a large hall below with a beamed solarium on sculpted consoles.
The sandstone entrance gate with (later renewed) rectangular attachment was made by Adriaen Louwersz. At Kerkstraat is a sandstone gate carved by Joachim de Steenhouwer in 1610 in Mannerist style with ionic half columns on postament. On the broken segmental pediment with city arms are two statues of old women. The institution was dissolved in 1639, after which the occupants were transferred to St.-Pietershof and the buildings were arranged as Bank van Lening (until 1884). Now they serve as a library, Turkish museum and office.
