The lighthouse in Huisduinen

betekenis & definitie

'Lange Jaap' (Zeeweg 5) arose in 1877-'78 (electrified 1924) to plans by Q. Harder. This by iron foundry Penn & amp; Bauduin manufactured cast iron tower has a red painted eighteen-sided conical hull of seventeen floors, a double balustrade and a light house with dome and rotating light. Inside are decorated cast-iron stairs. Slightly more to the south is a brick signal post (circa 1950) with four floors, balustrade and observation room.
