The (Herv.) Good Shepherd Church in IJmuiden

betekenis & definitie

(Velserduinweg 52), a business expressionist cruciform church, came into being in 1933-'34 to plans of F.B. Jantzen. The roof is supported by concrete trusses and the ceiling is covered with wood wool cement sheets from the construction period. The parsonage dating from 1919 (Velserduinweg 50) is a historicising design by J. Mulder and J.A. van Asdonk.
