The Herv church in Petten

betekenis & definitie

(Plein 1945 approx.) Is a traditionalist hall church with freestanding openwork concrete bell tower, built in 1957 to design by A.J. van der Steur. Against the facade is a memorial stone for C. Sandenbergh Matthiessen, in 1829 Petten's craftsman. Next to the church is a monument designed by Van der Steur in the form of a brick obelisk on postament, made of bricks from the old church (1846).
