The Herv church in Oudorp

betekenis & definitie

(Herenweg 4), also known as 'De Terp', is a raised one-aisled church with round arch windows. The original church building suffered damage in 1573, followed by the rebuilding of the ship at the end of the 16th century. During a radical renovation in 1858, the church space was renewed, but the late-16th-century roof was retained. After the collapse of the old church tower, the plastered façade was created in 1867 with eclectic details. The wooden crowning of the façade tower dates from 1884. The organ (1877) was built by L. Ypma.
