The Catholic St. Francis of Sales Church in Lijnden

betekenis & definitie

(Hoofdweg-Westzijde 121) is a three-aisled church with semi-circular apse and a white plastered façade with a wooden façade tower. This in 1858-'60 after design by Th. Molkenboer built neoclassical church has been restored in 1980 (interior) and 1990 (frontage). The inventory includes a Ypma organ (1909). The main altar and the wall painting of the choir apse are from 1951. The presbytery (Hoofdweg-Westzijde 121, circa 1880) is a two-storey cross-country building with a high pavement.
