The originally 17th-century building Dubb Buurt 23 was converted into a shop in 1878 and then got a neo-Renaissance storefront.

The wooden residential and retail building Zaanweg 64, built in 1864, has a wide shop front with slender cast-iron columns. The simple wooden building Noordeinde 8-9, built in 1851 as a house / café and liquor store, was renovated in 1898 with the current neo-Renaissance facade and the retained shop interior with a small café in the side room. Other examples of 19th-century shop fronts can be found at Noordeinde 6 and 14. With art deco ornaments, the residential and retail premises Zaanweg 124, which was built in 1915 for the furniture and upholstery shop of G. Koopman. The design is possible from A. Kok.
