Now in use as a music school is the voorm. public lower Municipal School D (Heidestraat 47), built in 1907 to plans by C. Cramer with an adjacent teacher's residence. This four-class school building received a gymnasium in 1924. An observation tower has the forem.

Municipal Fishing School (Havenkade 55) from 1916 to design by the Public Works Department. This building now serves as a museum. Characteristic is also the neo-Gothic style of the form. R.K. lower St. Franciscus School (Zeeweg 140, 1924, A.A. M. Bruning, enlarged 1930, Jos. Bekkers), the in cubic-expressionist style preform. U.L.O.-school (Platanenstraat 50; 1925) and the U-shaped building of the voorm. public lower Municipal School E (Eksterlaan 8, 1928). The form. Rijks Hogere Burger School (Briniostraat 14-16) arose in 1926 for an expressionist design by C.L.M. Robbers as a large building with corner ramparts and a staircase with a dome. The terracotta statues above the entrance are from W.C. Brouwer.
