Leyduin in Vogelenzang

betekenis & definitie

(Second Leyweg 2). The house Leyduin, which was first mentioned in 1596, was demolished at the beginning of the 19th century. A new house from 1874 was replaced in 1921 by the current house in New Historizing style after design by A. de Maaker. The landscaped garden designed by L.A. Springer contains a man-made hill with a neo-Gothic hermitage as a remnant of the late-18th century construction. From 1796, the two-aisled wooden Twin House or Juffer House (Tweede Leyweg 7) and from 1874 a stuccoed service residence (Vogelenzangseweg 29-31) and the coach house (Vogelenzangseweg 31a).
