From the late 19th century, the simple double farm workers' home Dorpsstraat 247-247a (1871), the eclectic middle-class house Nooit Gedacht (Dorpsstraat 66, 1879) and the large neo-classicist doctor's house Dorpsstraat 108 (1889), date back to 1877.
Neo-Renaissance details show the house Dorpsstraat 219 (1902). Examples of early twentieth century tenant houses are Oostwal 86-88 (circa 1915) and Dorpsstraat 22 (1916, K. Westra). Designed by J. Stuyt are the houses Fabrieksstraat 29-39 (circa 1920).
