Den Ilp in Landsmeer

betekenis & definitie

This elongated peat reclamation village north of Landsmeer originated in the 12th century. After the Second World War it has grown to both Purmerland and Landsmeer. The form. bi-class public primary school (Den Ilp 73) dates from around 1900 and was rebuilt around 1920.

The 19th-century farmhouse Den Ilp 193 has a hay house at the rear. Residential homes. Built in 1899 and rebuilt in 1930, the dwarse wooden house Den Ilp 131-132. A nice example of a central corridor with brick decorations is Den Ilp 45 from 1911. Traditionalistic forms show the double house Den Ilp 31-32 (circa 1925). The two-storey egg warehouse 'Ons Voordeel' (Den Ilp 111) dates from 1924.
