tumor in de bifurcatie van de ductus choledochus. Door de Amerikaanse chirurg Gerald F. Klatskin werd dit cholangiocarcinoom in 1965 beschreven: ‘Adenocarcinoma of the hepatic duct at its bifurcation with the porta hepatis. An unusual tumor with distinctive clinical and pathological features’1.
