Stompetoren (municipality Schermer)
Village, created after the reclamation of the Schermer in 1635 at the intersection of the Noordervaart with the Oterlekerweg. This ribbon village, originally named Noordschermer, owes its current name to the 17th century, noiseless church tower. After the Second World War the village on the north side was somewhat expanded.
