Oterleek (Municipality of Schermer)
Village, already mentioned in the 15th century, located on the old land in the unadorned Heerhugowaard (1629-'31). The two-sided ribbon development (Dorpsstraat) came to the east of the inner dike of the Oterleek polder. After a village fire in 1922, Oterleek was largely rebuilt. A large power plant was built in 1935 on the ring dike.
