Schools in Spierdijk
The Franciscan sisters founded the St. Joseph school for girls in 1895 (demolished 1973). Built in 1917 R.K. St. Martinus School for boys (Spierdijkerweg 110-112) received an extension in 1929 with three classrooms. The preform executed in business expressionist style. R.K. sister house (Spierdijkerweg 103) from 1932 is now an apartment building.
