Engels schrijver, *18.8.1925 Norwich. Aldiss was achtereenvolgens beroepsmilitair, boekhandelaar en filmcriticus.
Daarna heeft hij zich beziggehouden met het schrijven van sciencefictionverhalen. Zijn werk werd een aantal malen bekroond.
