In 1919 -20 the Talmabuurt (A.S. Talmaplein et al.) Was established according to plans by A. Ingwersen, Tj. Kuipers and Z.D.J.W. Gulden with an alternating picture of blocks of houses with corner turrets, broken roofs and perpendicularly placed roof surfaces. Some houses have sandstone tableaux with representations of flowers and animals, or Zaan images like the Czaar Peter House.
