betekenis & definitie

(Dammerweg 8) is a three-aisled basilical cross-church with three-sided closed choir, roof rider and a tower of four sections with frontals, corner spouts and needle spits. This neo-Gothic church was erected in 1888-89 by Y. Supplement to replace a barn church from 1811. Restorations were carried out in 1964 and 2002. The church contains a communion bench (1866), a Maria altar (1902), stations of the crossroads of K. Dunselman (1902-'08), a Maarschalkerweerd organ (1906) and a sandstone main altar (1911, design Bijvoets) manufactured by J. Matthijs. Bijvoets also designed the choir windows produced by the Sodekamp studio (1889).

The presbytery (Dammerweg 5) is a mansion from 1888, Het R.K. sister house (Dammerweg 8) an elongated building from 1936 in a business expressionist style.
