(Genieweg approx.), Located to the west of Krommenie, is a moated fortress of the Defense Line of Amsterdam in defense of an acces (railway Uitgeest-Krommenie) with a earthwork from 1896. From 1903 the elongated bomb-proof main and front building (with observation dome), flanked by separate lifting domes. At the fort there is a wooden genie and a secondary battery (1903).
