betekenis & definitie

(Flevolaan 41) is a model farm designed as a gentleman's farm, founded in 1902 on the initiative of the later parliamentarian F. Vos and the economist J. van Woensel Kooy († 1903), who bought the estate Oud-Bussum in 1897 for a hygienic dairy. to exploit and produce bacteria-poor 'natural milk'.

K.P.C. de Bazel designed the U-shaped main building (n ° 41; 1903-'05) as a cowshed with clock tower above the central entrance. The form. dairy factory (no.43; 1903) is a villa-like building, with the foremost road ahead of it. bottle washing shop (No. 45, circa 1904). De Bazel also designed the form. office annex service house (No. 67; 1903) and some service houses (nos. 32-36; 1904). In the forem. seed drier (No. 39; 1925, W. de Gooijer) sugar beet seed was processed. With this activity the losses at the dairy farm were compensated. The cowshed (G. van der Pol) restored in 1967 now serves as an office (Talpa).
