Hamlet west of Sint Maartensbrug. The raft bridge over the Noordhollands Kanaal (Kanaalkade approx.) Has abutments on which the raft sections can be pulled at opening. The original wooden raft bridge (1820-'21) was replaced in 1959 by an electrically driven steel pontoon bridge using the same principle. The form. cheese factory 'De Eensgezindheid' (Sint Maartensweg 5-7) was founded in 1911. Parts of the factory and the director's residence date from 1932.
