Examples of the old village buildings are the small plastered fishing houses Poststraat 10 (possibly 17th century) and Rozenobelstraat 10 (18th century); further the house with smithy Achterom 1 (18th century, enlarged after 1850). The white plastered house Zandvoortselaan 126-128 was originally a gamekeeper's house with a men's room in the dune area of ​​Zandvoort. This building from the second half of the 19th century was later converted into a single house ('Avondrust').

Characteristic examples of houses built around 1900 and mostly plastered houses with wooden verandas on the Haarlemmerstraat are the double dwelling Pretty Home (nr. 20-22), the nos. 39, 50 (neo-Renaissance details) and 78-80 (extended porch), the house Adriana (number 37, 1906, WF Doeglas) and the double art nouveau house Summerhouse and Nos Vacances (number 44-46, circa 1905). No veranda but a conservatory have the plastered houses Ameria and Jasione (Grote Krocht 33-35), Hendrika and Lands End (Grote Krocht 37-39) and Kostverlorenstraat 28-30, all from around 1905 and with Art Nouveau details. Examples of villas in New Historic style are Kostverlorenstraat 91 (1906, J. London) and the forem. doctor's house Raadhuisplein 4 (circa 1910, W.F. Doeglas). At the Kostverlorenstraat are three by W.F. Doing glass around 1905 designed plastered block-shaped villas with flat roof and porch, namely De Eik (nr. 100), De Berk (nr. 102) and Kostverlorenstraat 115. Other early 20th century villas are Brederodestraat 75, with conservatory and balcony in chalet style, Bij Zee (Brederodestraat 71) and Wilhelminaweg 68 (1908). Along the Kostverlorenstraat there are also the villas Njord (no.121; 1916, H. Koning) and De Abeel (no. 117), the concrete villa Zonnehuis (no. 131), the villaist Marisduin (no. 52) and the block-shaped mansion Huis met de Vijver (nr. 118; 1913-'15, C. Slegers) with ornaments in artificial stone. J.H.W. Leliman for M. Gimpento the Villa De Klaproos (built in 1917) (no. 99); the garage was added in 1931.
