The (Geref.) Eben Haezerkerk (Stationsstraat 13, 1874, S. Wierda)
is a wide eclectic hall church with a small wooden bell tower with a spire. Late 19th century are also the T-shaped form. Geref. church (Vinkenstraat 44; 1880) and the small hall building of the Chr. Geref. church (Herengracht 106; 1893) with cast-iron windows and a porch with balcony. The Ned. Geref. church with a barbeque (Botenmakersstraat 112-114, 1908) bears the inscription "Evangelisatie building". This hall church contains galleries and a by Johannes Stephanus Strümphler for the Herv. church of Middenbeemster made organ (1780, enlarged 1868). The organ front was manufactured by P.J. Teves (1830).
Examples of post-war church buildings are the (Herv.) Paaskerk (Burg Ter Laanplantsoen 21; 1958, K.L. Sijmons) - with windows designed by K. Appel, the R.K. St. Joseph's Church (Veldbloemenweg; 1963-'64, J. Strik) and R.K. O.L. Vrouwekerk (M.L. Kingweg, 1964-'65, H. Nefkens).
