The (Geref.) Ichthuskerk (Snelliusstraat 40, 1938-'39, S.J. Meegdes and A. ten Broeke) is a hall church with a roof rider and attached presbytery (Kompasstraat 78). The post-war (Geref.) Bethelkerk (Zeeweg 242, 1950-'52, B. van Heijningen) has a cross-shaped floor plan and an open bell chair as crown. Now in use at the Baptist church is the form. Restore. Apost. church (Eemstraat 30; 1953, H.W.M. Hupkes and W.C. van Asperen), designed as an octagonal hall church with a front building. Other post-war churches are the elongated octagonal (Herv.) Bethlehem Church (Radarstraat 3-5; 1954-'56, J. Schipper) with an open clock tower and the robust hall building of the (Geref.) Petrakerk (near Merwedestraat 5; 1958, JA Roodenburgh) ) with slender free standing bell tower.
