Hotel-restaurant Augusta (Oranjestraat 94-98) was built in 1907 in combination with shops and upstairs apartments. The design by L.A. and C. Pagter combines art nouveau and rationalist forms. Characteristic of hotel-restaurant Kennemerhof (Kennemerlaan 116-118), built in 1930 after a cubist-expressionist design by N. ten Broeke, are the higher-rise rectangular staircases and the surrounding wooden awning.
