Farms in Huizen

betekenis & definitie

A top façade with a diamond pattern in yellow and red stone has the farm Vissersstraat 26, which is dated '16? 5 'with colored stone. Building traces show that this small building on the south side has been widened and raised. The 17th-century farmhouse Meentweg 22 has a gently sloping thatched roof, a spout with top pilaster and facing bricks with representations of beehives.

Other 17th century farm buildings are striking because of the horizontal toothings, such as Noorderweg 6-8a, Melkweg 32 and Taandersdwarsweg 21-23. Partly plastered are Schoolstraat 2-4 (possibly 1665) with shoulder gable and Schipperstraat 44 with spout. Also fitted with spout gables are the 18th century farms Melkweg 33, Boerensteeg 1, Valkenaarstraat 36 and Vletstraat 7-11. Examples of 18th-century stool house farms are Oranje Weeshuisstraat 16 and Voorbaan 76. A beautiful façade-style façade, with segment-shaped top-ends and ornamental vases, can be seen at the Zeeweg 5 farm (1807); the business area at the Beemsterboerlaan dates from 1877 (annual anchors). The Voorbaan 28 (1854) farm has a neoclassical door frame. Other farms dated by anniversaries are Schipperstraat 14-16 (1859), Schipperstraat 2 (1868) and Havenstraaat 29 (1875).
