The brick arch bridge over the Appelhaven dates back to 1783. A slender cast-iron pedestrian bridge connects the Nieuwland (at no. 29) with the Munnickenveld since 1864. The Hoogebrug (at Korenmarkt 1) is a steel drawbridge designed by J. Faber from 1930. The wooden drawbridge at the Bierkade dates back to 1937 in its current form.
