The former St. Bartholomeus guesthouse in Weesp
(Nieuwstraat 43), where up to 1937 also orphans were housed, consists of three wings with sober pilaster facades. The north wing (Gasthuisstraat) dates back to the 16th century and ends at the corner of the Middenstraat with a 17th-century stepped gable decorated with anchors, natural stone lion masks and the city coat of arms (top reconstructed)....
