The former council house in Hoogwoud
(Burg Hoogenboomlaan 22) is a transverse building with basement and bell-floor, equipped with a riser middle section with landing stairs. In the dormer window above the framed entrance there is an inscription (1742) which the foundation memorizes by Louisa Hedwig of Catz.
