The foremost domain office in Wieringerwerf
(Smedingplein 1), now the office of the Hollands Kroon water board, was built in 1941-42 according to the design of the Wieringermeer directorate. This building with neo-baroque details (staircase section) has a risalite on the left with the meeting room on the floor. On the square in front of it is the statue 'De Maaier' (1941, T. van Reijn).
