Finsch scheikundige en natuurvorscher, geb. 5 Juni 1760 te Abo, werd 1789 hoogleeraar in de scheikunde aan de hoogeschool te Abo, overl. 15 Aug. 1852 te Wirmo, schreef: De theoria caloris corporum specifici (Upsala 1792), Inledning till Chemien (1798), Systema fossilium (1825).
