Marco Girolamo, Italiaans dichter, *1490 Cremona, ♰27.9.1566 Alba. Vida was sinds 1532 bisschop van Alba.
Hij was een van de belangrijkste Nieuwlatijnse dichters van het humanisme en schreef behalve epische en lyrische poëzie ook leerdichten. Werken: De arte poëtica (3 dln. 1527), De bombyce (1527), De sacchorum ludo (1527), Christias (6 dln. 1535), Opera (1550). Uitgave: Poëmata omnia cum dialogis, door G.Volpi (2 dln. 1731).
