Peter Alexander, Engels acteur, regisseur en schrijver, *16.4.1921 te Londen; zoon van Russische emigranten. Ustinov maakte zijn toneeldebuut in 1939 en zijn filmdebuut in 1942.
Hij speelde in ca. 50 films en trad ook op voor de televisie. Van 1968—74 was hij rector van de universiteit te Dundee. Zijn vele blijspelen zijn gekenmerkt door actuele thematiek en levendige, spirituele dialogen.
