Charles Harold, Engels nieuwtestamenticus, *7.4.1884 Wrexham, ♱21.9.1973 Goring-on-Thames. Dodd studeerde te Oxford en Berlijn.
In 1915 werd hij hoogleraar te Oxford, in 1930 te Manchester en in 1935 te Cambridge. Zijn werken zijn doortrokken van zijn theorie van ‘realized eschatology’, d.w.z. dat naar zijn mening Johannes en Paulus geloofden dat met Jezus het koningschap Gods gekomen was.
