Cureton - (William), 1808—1864, Engelsch theoloog en oriëntalist. Hij gaf uit: The ancient Syriac version of the epistles of S. Ignatius (1845) ; Spicilegium Syriacum (1855), maar de meeste waarde hadden zijn Remains of a very ancient recension of the four gospels in Syriac (1858), thans nog naar hem als de ontdekker en uitgever de Curetonia genoemd.
