Yusuf Karsh, Canadees fotograaf, *23.12.1908 Mardin (Turkije). Karsh is van Armeense afkomst.
Hij ging in 1930 naar Canada, waar hij in 1933 zijn eigen fotostudio opende. Vooral zijn portretopnamen trokken zozeer de aandacht, dat hij tot officieel regeringsfotograaf benoemd werd.
