Alun, Engels componist, *11.8.1929 Bargoed (Glamorgan). Hoddinott studeerde in Cardiff, waar hij sinds 1967 muziek doceert aan de universiteit.
Zijn composities zijn op verscheidene internationale festivals in Engeland uitgevoerd. Composities: Symphony no. 1 (1955), Three medieval songs, voor vrouwenkoor a capella (1963), Sinfonia for string orchestra (1964), Sonata for harp (1964), Night music for orchestra (1967),Concerto for organ and orchestra (1967), Fioriture (1968).
