a. adi., vectigalia tanta sunt, ut iis vix contenti esse possimus, Cic.
b. neutr. tantum subst.: in nom. en acc., zulk een kleinigheid, zo weinig, tantum praesidii, navium, Caes. | in de gen. pretii: est mihi tanti, het is mij zo weinig waard (waarbij men te gelijk een beweging met de vingers maakt), Cic., iurgia sunt tanti, zijn de moeite niet waard, hebben niet veel te betekenen, Ov., non est tanti, het is de moeite niet waard, Cic.
