Trad echter in oppositie tegen Willem I en veranderde de titel in Le Catholique des Pays-Bas. Werd 30.4.1830 voor zeven jaar uit het koninkrijk verbannen. Keerde na de Belg. revolutie terug en gaf zijn krant opnieuw uit onder de titel Journal des Flandres. Hij verdedigde zijn republikeinse en democratische opvattingen in l’Eclaireur (Namen), Le Progressiste, Le Patriote Beige en Le Débat Social.Litt.: R.Rezsohazy.
